This isn't what I thought I'd be doing. At all. Ever.

But I can't lose sight of this program and the demands they make of us. If I'm going to be put in situations that are outside of my comfort zone, I'd like to do that on my own terms as much as possible. Maybe that'll make it feel more real.

One question though: have you danced before? Even privately for someone.

Because I wanted to? Yes. In a situation like this? No.

But I have a routine for auditions.

I did. I've talked to Bellamy before.

He has a good reputation around here. Seems like he's looking to build a team and do it safely.

I also know someone who's considering working there part-time in security. He's a friend.

I haven't met him but it would be good to have a friend there.
I do know Bellamy. He'll look out for you.

I know you can but having someone else doesn't hurt. Someone you can trust if you need to.

Let's just hope I don't need it that much.

Is there anything you need me to do as your dominant in getting the job? I don't know if I need to.

I haven't heard of anything so far.

It's probably one of the ways the city likes to surprise us. Everything will be fine and then I'll be arrested for taking a better paying job.

Well, just in case have it in writing that I'm supporting and encouraging you to get a better paying job.

Your permission to work was in the contract and I think this is a good thing. Even not as your dominant.

I trust you to make sensible decisions. We both know someone there that we can trust and you said that you wanted to do "this" on your terms. If you're comfortable doing this then it's a good thing. You know who you are and what you want, what your limits are. That's something to remember.

I told him about the job. Just wanted to avoid that awkward scenario where he's surprised that I'm working at a strip club.

I didnt realise you were so close.
It's also not really his business if you want to do this.

We're friends. But since I'm half his age, he thinks he has to protect me.

It wasn't like that. It was about making sure he didn't walk in and unexpectedly see me on stage.
