[ Call her old fashioned maybe, but Mrs Sheringham will be getting a phone call from Jean on this particular day during the first week of May, a strange bag placed on the table near her hip and a tarot card held within her hand which she looks over while waiting for the other woman to answer. ]
( maybe she likes the old fashioned. it might have been 2011 at her home but there were some parts of modernity that whilst she knew how to use she didn't really have in her everyday life. a phone call ends up being pretty nice in comparison )
[ When the other woman answers, a smile touches her lips. The reason for her calling is a little more on the troubling side of things... but to hear the woman's voice is at least a comfort, if even for a short moment. ]
Good- I mean, this place definitely capable of things in ways I hadn't really thought, but.
[ At least she's back to how she is? For now? Who's to say really. With her gaze dropping back down to the card she holds within her hand, however, she turns within the living room of her place, slowly making her way towards a window. ]
Did you... happen to get a mysterious bag recently? Something that definitely wasn't ordered or given as a gift by anyone you know?
[ Suffice to say, when the bags had made their rounds to the Sleepers of this place, Jean had gone through a rewinding of time and with everything that had been going on for her, checking to see she had a bag waiting for her hadn't exactly been on the top of her priority list. Now, however, it most definitely is and why she's calling the other woman given their previous discussions. ]
What do you make of it? Besides the fact that it seems the cards are not necessarily showing any sort of similarities or patterns in terms of design.
( this is perhaps going to be the most honest discussion she's ever had with someone that wasn't an angel. or her husband )
I've heard about tarot through time, seen how it became more integrated into certain cultures and customs but it wasn't a practice I ever learned. It's supposed to be a way of divining information.
[ She gently twists the hand holding the card from left to right as the woman speaks, gaze lingering on the tower of skulls that are depicted on her own. Not exactly a pleasant looking card? At least in comparison to what she's seen. ]
About the one the card is given to, I would guess. Which would possibly explain similar personalities being given the same card... or perhaps similar struggles being faced.

[ The pause that comes from Jean is not from the offer of being shown the card that the other woman has be given, but from the sudden feeling of someone being there behind her... only for there to be no one in sight when she turns to look over her shoulder. Silent, she lets her gaze wander around the room for a moment before she brings herself back to the conversation. ]
Yeah- that would be something we could probably do. Maybe sort through everything else in this bag as well. [ Because the card is certainly not the only thing she found in the bag. ] Did you have some place in mind?
The library if you wanted to find a book? Or my place.
( which was infinitely more private for such conversations. depending on how quick jean wanted to come and talk about it would depend on what she could prepare too )
[ And she finds herself smiling as she says that. A joke. Mostly. But the privacy of the woman's place is certainly a little more favorable given the delicate nature of such a topic they're discussing. ]
