I didn't tell you everything about it, not why it was important. But it's not solely about wings.

Wings are only part of being an angel but it isn't everything, it isn't what makes our being. To have solely wings would be wrong, it would feel wrong.

And whilst they're not everything about me they are a physical symbol of what I gave up. Something I carry with me.

( in her scars. she may have kept her wings at home in memory of her former life but that was a symbol not a wish. just as her scars remained that )
